Word-Count Method:
Telephone numbers, including area code, are one word. Addresses including house number, street and direction or post office box number or rural route number count as two words. The name of the city, state and zip code each count as one word. Hyphenated words count as two words. When counting dates, "9/23" counts as one word, but "September 23" counts as two.
